COMMON QUESTIONS
How is my data protected? Your entries are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM. The encryption key lives only in your iPhone's Keychain. We have no servers and cannot access your data — not a policy, a technical impossibility.
I bought lifetime access but now it shows the paywall again. Tap "Restore Purchase" on the paywall — your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored anytime.
How do I delete all my entries? Settings → "Delete everything." You'll be asked for your device passcode to confirm, then all entries, voice recordings, and your encryption key are immediately and permanently destroyed.
What happens if I delete the app? All your entries are deleted along with the app. The encryption key is destroyed. Even we can't recover them — that's by design.
Why does the paywall show after I've been using the app for a while? The Unsaid offers a 14-day free trial when you first install. After the trial ends, lifetime access is $19.99 — a one-time purchase. Your trial period is tracked locally on your device, so it can't be reset by reinstalling the app.
A NOTE ON CRISIS If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out to someone who can help. In the United States, you can call or text 988. Outside the US, findahelpline.com lists crisis lines by country. The Unsaid is a reflection tool, not a crisis service.
